Following its World Premiere on the opening night of Fantasia 2023, I spoke to indie horror icon Larry Fessenden about his werewolf film Blackout, rounding out his “monster trilogy” that also includes Fessenden’s 1997 vampire film Habit and his 2019 Frankenstein variant Depraved.
In addition to talking about Larry Fessenden’s werewolf influences, the discussion also talks about the mumblecore movement and how it ties to the film Barbie, which opened the day the interview was conducted.
